A celebrated general in the Venetian army, Othello, a Moor of respected standing, finds profound happiness in his unconventional marriage to the beautiful and virtuous Desdemona. As Iago’s insidious lies take root, Othello’s once noble and secure nature transforms into a raging storm of jealousy and insecurity, fueled by his outsider status and deeply internalized prejudices. This consuming obsession leads him down a path of increasing paranoia and violence, ultimately culminating in a heart-wrenching domestic tragedy that irrevocably destroys all he holds dear and leaves a trail of devastating consequences.
