## Biography

Ludwig van Beethoven, born in Bonn in December 1770, is globally recognized as one of the most influential composers in history. Though primarily celebrated for his revolutionary musical compositions that bridged the Classical and Romantic eras, Beethoven also left behind a significant body of personal writings that offer profound insights into his complex mind and struggles. From a young age, his musical talent was evident, leading him to Vienna, the heart of European music, where he studied with Joseph Haydn. His career, marked by intense creativity and personal challenges, saw him develop a distinctive style, producing iconic symphonies, concertos, and sonatas.

A pivotal aspect of Beethoven's life was his gradual onset of deafness, which began around 1797.
