## Biography

Richard Dehan was the pen name of Clotilde Augusta Inez Maria Graves, an Irish-born writer known for her diverse literary contributions in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Born in Buttevant Castle, County Cork, Ireland, in 1863, Graves later moved to the UK around 1870. Under her pseudonym, she garnered recognition as a journalist, cartoonist, playwright, and actor. Her writing career, which began in the 1880s, encompassed a wide array of works, including novels and short stories that sometimes incorporated elements of speculative fiction. Among her notable books are "The Dop Doctor," "Between Two Thieves," and "The Great Beast of Kafue." She also published collections such as "Off Sandy Hook and Other Stories." Clotilde Graves, or Richard Dehan, passed away in 1932.
