## Biography

Ford Madox Ford, born Ford Hermann Hueffer in 1873, was an influential English novelist, poet, critic, and editor. Growing up in a culturally rich environment, he was the grandson of Pre-Raphaelite painter Ford Madox Brown. Early in his career, he collaborated significantly with Joseph Conrad and founded *The English Review*, a pivotal journal that showcased many emerging literary talents of the early 20th century. Ford’s most acclaimed works include the novel *The Good Soldier* (1915), known for its unreliable narrator and exploration of Edwardian society, and the *Parade's End* tetralogy (1924–1928), which drew heavily from his experiences serving in World War I. After the war, he founded *The Transatlantic Review* in Paris, continuing his role in promoting modernist literature. Throughout his prolific life, Ford produced nearly eighty books, leaving a lasting impact on English and American letters before his death in 1939.
