# Osgood Hardy

## Biography

Osgood Hardy, born in 1889, was a distinguished academic primarily known for his work in history and government. He held a prominent position as the head of the history and government department at Occidental College in Los Angeles. Throughout his career, Dr. Hardy contributed to scholarly discourse, evidenced by his authorship of papers presented at academic associations. In 1935, for instance, he authored a paper titled "Effects of the Depression on Hispanic-American Trade," which he presented to the Hispanic-American section of the American Historical Association. His research and teaching at Occidental College focused on historical and governmental studies, establishing him as a respected figure in his field.
