## Biography

Dave Dryfoos was an American author primarily known for his contributions to the science fiction genre. Born on March 29, 1915, in San Francisco, California, he embarked on his writing career in the mid-20th century, with his first notable work, "Lest Ye Be Judged ...", appearing in Fantastic Adventures in October 1950. Dryfoos was a prolific short story writer, with numerous tales appearing in various magazines and collections. His work often appeared in anthologies such as "The Golden Age of Science Fiction Vol. I," which is considered among his more popular works, and "The Ninth Golden Age of Science Fiction MEGAPACK®." Other notable stories include "Tree, Spare that Woodman," "Waste Not, Want," "Uniform of a Man," and "Preferred Position." Dave Dryfoos passed away on May 4, 2003.
